Easter Safari is one of, if not the largest organized event in the United States for 4-Wheel Drive vehicles. The event runs for 9 days ending on Easter Sunday. There are no restrictions as to the manufacturer of vehicles but they need to have high ground clearance and a 2 speed transfer case. Most days they have 8 or more trails running and on “Big” Saturday” about 28 groups will depart Moab in a huge parade of 1000 vehicle or more. Some of the trails are just above 2WD. On the other extreme, there are tails that need lockers, big tires and winches. On Thursday and Friday there is a large vendor show. There is a raffle drawing Friday night. |

Our plan is to do 4 days of trails rides. That will be more than enough for the first time! So we will use the weekend before Easter to travel to Moab. Everyone is on their own but we will help with travel routes and information. Then we will run a trail each day on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The Monday trail has been selected to help you get accustomed to the terrain and slickrock. On Tuesday we will increase the rating one notch and again Wednesday. Thursday we will take a day off from the trails to attend the vendor show or explore surrounding areas. Friday's Trail rating will be the same as Wednesday or one step down. Friday evening you can attend the big raffle and perhaps you will walk away with a set of new tires or a winch. We will travel home on Easter Saturday and Easter (if you need more than one day). |

What You Get |

The price is per vehicle. We will assist you to sign up for 4 days on trails specially selected to increase your confidence
as the challenge increase.
It includes access to a vendor show with over
120 booths and national manufactures and a ticket for the
big raffle. We will accompany you on the trails in Moab and assist with logistics during the week to insure you find your registration materials, arrive in the right spot on time for your trail ride, and help with any difficulties on the trails. You will receive detailed plans to help you with travel logistics and to prepare for the upcoming adventure. |
What it Does not IncludeThe fee to Badlands Off-Road Adventures does not include the trail registration fee. You will need to pay the Red Rock 4-wheelers when you sign up for the trails. The price does not include transportation to and from Moab, UT. It does not include hotel and meals. We will provide you with a hotels, campsites, and RV parks link. (We recommend you book early as motel rooms, camp sites and RV park spaces go fast). It does not include alcoholic beverages.Vehicle RequirementsYou need a 4-Wheel Drive vehicle with a 2 speed transfer case that is licensed and legal for on road use. You need Rock Rails. Running boards will not work and must be removed. You need minimum 31" tires "&" preferable 33" or better tires. Your vehicle needs good vehicle approach "&" departure angles. A Rear locker is recommended. A skilled driver with good vehicle articulation can do these trails with an open differential. Make sure you have recovery points front and rear.TrainingIf you are able to attend one of our beginning rock crawling clinics, the experience and skills will be very helpful when attending Easter Safari. Look at the Rock Clinic schedule and sign up for one that works on timing.Special DealWe have room for one person to drive our personal vehicle on the trails. For the same price, you can drive a well-equipped vehicle and have your own personal 4x4 coach sitting in the passenger seat.Contact us to discuss arrangements and to see if the seat has been filled. We also have several well-equipped vehicles that you can rent (extra fee), if you are willing to drive them from LA to Moab. Or you can arrange to rent a vehicle locally. Medical Self-AssessmentThere is inherent risk associated with all the activities involved with off-road driving including the risk of illness in remote areas without medical facilities. Badlands Off-Road Adventures does not conduct a medical screening, examination, or review of the health and fitness of clients & customers to participate in our training programs and adventures trips. It is incumbent on each person to assess their medical capability to participate.
